400 buyers from China dominated Saga Furs June auction

 

Saga Furs June auction concluded today. The company sold in the auction 3.3 million mink and 680 000 fox and Finnraccoon. The value of auction sales was almost 220 million Euro (157 million Euro in June last year). The auction was attended by almost 800 customers from all market areas, the largest group being more than 400 Chinese.

Last day offering of Pastel mink was 100 % sold at firm to slightly easier prices compared to the recent international levels. Main buying Hong Kong/China.

 


June 9, 2015: Strong competition for high quality female mink

 

Saga Furs June auction continued with the selling of Black, Mahogany, Brown and Glow females. The offering was again almost 100 % sold under widespread competition. High quality skins and velvet types continued to receive big price premiums compared with more commercial goods. The velvets sold generally at 5-10 % easier prices in euros compared with recent international levels, commercial skins 10-15 % easier. Main buying Hong Kong / China with strong support from Korea.

The Saga Lumi Royal Top Lot of Brown females was bought by Ole Nordang for Haixing Fur Products Company Ltd, China.

June 7, 2015: Active mink buying continued today

 

Saga Furs June auction continued today with Black and Mahogany males and Silverblue mink. The offering was almost 100 % sold under strong competition. Better qualities and velvets sold at firm to slightly easier prices, commercial qualities around 10 % easier compared with recent international levels. Main buying Hong Kong/China with good support from Korea


 

 

June 6, 2015: Saga Furs June auction continues with the mink sale

 

Saga Furs mink auction started yesterday with Pearl and Sapphire and continued today with Brown and Glow males and White mink. Sapphire sold at firm to slightly easier prices compared with recent levels.

In the other types high quality velvets sold under strong competition at 5-10 % easier prices, commercial qualities 10-15 % easier. The price adjustment is approximately 7 %less in US dollars due to recent changes in the exchange rates. Buying was dominated by Hong Kong/China, balance well spread.


 

 

June 5, 2014: Blue fox sold under strong competition

 

Saga Furs June auction continued with the selling of almost 560 000 certified Blue fox. The offering was 100 % sold at 5-10 % easier prices compared with their March auction. Prices in US dollars were very firm. Main buying Hong Kong/China, balance well spread. The auction is attended by over 750 buyers from all markets, with over 400 coming from China.

 

June 4, 2015: Saga Furs June auction started today with the selling of various foxes

 

The auction was opened with a 100 % sale of Blue Shadow fox. Prices were 5-10% easier in euros compared with their March auction. Main buying Hong Kong / China, balance well spread. Finnraccoon was 90 % sold at 10-15 % easier prices mainly to the European fashion industry. Continuing uncertainty in the Russian market affected the Blue Frost fox and Silver fox sale and the offerings were 40 % sold under selective demand at firm to slightly easier prices.

The Saga Furs Lumi Royal top lot of Blue Shadow fox was bought by Carlo Bonaiuti, Italy, and the top lot of Blue Frost fox by Delfino Fur, Turkey.
