June 10, 2015: ALC’s day two of the auction got off to a strong start

 

American Legend’s day two of the auction got off to a strong start as Blackglama females sold to a very competitive room. Korea led the buying with strong support from Hong Kong/China. Prices remained firm to just slightly easier to American Legend’s March auction levels with premiums paid on better qualities and shorter naps.

Mahogany females sold at firm levels as compared to our March auction. Hong Kong/China led the purchasing. Mutations sold in line with current market conditions and the Section III skins sold at very competitive levels in relation to regular quality skins.

Top Lots

 

The top lot of Blackglama females was purchased by Mechutan Fur Corporation for Tsoukas Bros. & Sons, Kastoria, Greece, and was produced by Harris-Kurhajec-Smies of Caldwell, Idaho; Franksville, Wisconsin; and Oostburg, Wisconsin, respectively.

The top lot of American Legend Mahogany females was purchased by Klondike Intl. for Beijing Shulan and was produced by Jonsson & Sons of Lehi, Utah.

The top lot of American Legend Pearl males was purchased by P.K.Z. Furs S.A. Petra Place, Kastoria, Greece, and was produced by Gengel Mink Farm of Lake Villa, Illinois.

The top lot of American Legend Pearl females was purchased by Klondike Intl. for Susanna Lam and was produced by Gengel Mink Farm of Lake Villa, Illinois.

 


 

 

June 8, 2015: Blackglama males started the day with active bidding

 

The opening day of American Legend’s June auction experienced a full room of buyers representing all major markets in the world. Buying throughout the day was dominated by Hong Kong/China, however, Greece, Russia, and Korea all provided key support on all colors.

Blackglama males started the day with active bidding. Prices on better qualities sold at firm to slightly easier prices as compared to American Legend’s March auction while the longer naps experienced easier prices.

American Legend Mahogany males sold in line relative to the market with shorter-napped skins once again receiving solid premiums. The American Legend Blue Iris and White males and females sold well to wide spread buying led by Korea, Hong Kong/China, and Russia.

Breeder types concluded the day selling mainly to Hong Kong/China

The top lot of American Legend Mahogany males was purchased by Nick and George Chatzisimeonidis for Estel Furs, Kastoria, Greece, and was produced by Jonsson & Sons of Lehi, Utah.

The top lot of American Legend Blue Iris males was purchased by Thomas Rebild for Tatjana Dorozhkina Fashion House, Moscow, Russia, and was produced by Masog – L. Slack & Sons of Lebanon, Oregon.

The top lot of American Legend Blue Iris females was purchased by Shon S.H. Han for Jindo Co., Ltd., Korea, and was produced by Masog – L. Slack & Sons, of Lebanon, Oregon.

The top lot of American Legend White males was purchased by Thomas Rebild for Irina Troshkina, Daritt, Moscow, Russia, and was produced by Gengel Mink Farm of Lake Villa, Illinois.

The top lot of American Legend White females was purchased by Oscar de la Renta Furs, New York, and was produced by Gengel Mink Farm of Lake Villa, Illinois.
