American Legend Auction Reports - June 2016

 


ALC concluded its June 2016 auction with a collection of Blackglama and Mahogany females, mutation mink, and Section III.

Blackglama females sold 100% to a full room and sold at prices firm to recent auctions. Buying was led by Korea with support from Hong Kong/China and Greece. Mahogany females also sold at 100%. Hong Kong/China was the largest buyer and prices advanced by 5-10% above recent North American auctions. The collection of various mutations was extremely well received due to the outstanding quality. Pearls, Violets, Sapphires, Lavenders, Peaches, Pinks and Marbles all sold to widespread competition and achieved the highest prices of the season.

 

Top Lots


The top lot of Blackglama females was purchased by Tsoukas Bros. & Sons, Kastoria, Greece, and was produced by Harris-Kurhajec-Smies of Caldwell, Idaho; Franksville, Wisconsin; and Oostburg, Wisconsin, respectively.

The top lot of Violet males was purchased by Guangzhou Bohua Trading Co. for China Michelle De Paris, and was produced by Stahl-Salo-West Bay of Sunbury, Pennsylvania; Astoria, Oregon; and Marinette, Wisconsin, respectively.

The top lot of Violet females was purchased by Guangzhou Bohua Trading Co. for China ZIFEIYIREN, and was produced by Stahl-Salo-West Bay of Sunbury, Pennsylvania; Astoria, Oregon; and Marinette, Wisconsin, respectively.

The top lot of American Legend Pearl males was purchased by Guida Italy for Liaoning Rui Xin Imp. & Exp. Co. Ltd., China, and was produced by Gengel Mink Farm of Lake Villa, Illinois.

The top lot of American Legend Pearl females was purchased by Bohua Trading Co. for China SHA QI YA Fur, and was produced by Gengel Mink Farm of Lake Villa, Illinois.

 

Day 2: Price Averages

 


 

 

The ALC June auction started with the offering of Blackglama and Mahogany males, Blue Iris and White males and females, combined with a season ending collection of Demi and miscellaneous males, females and breeder pelts.

Over 600 buyers registered for the auction and competed aggressively resulting in advancing prices of 5-10% for North American mink. Clear preferences continue for short nap mink.

Blackglama males sold 100% to Hong Kong/China and Greece with support from Russia. Mahogany males sold to Hong Kong/China with support from Greece and Russia. White males sold 100% to Hong Kong/China with support from Greece and White females sold to Hong Kong/China with support from Korea. Blue Iris sold 100% and were well spread among Hong Kong/China, Greece, Korea and Russia

 

Top Lots


The top lot of Blackglama males was purchased by Tsoukas Bros. & Sons, Kastoria, Greece, and was produced by Jason Mullen of Weymouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The top lot of American Legend Blue Iris males was purchased by Darit, Moscow, Russia, and was produced by Masog – L. Slack & Sons of Lebanon, Oregon.

The top lot of American Legend Blue Iris females was purchased by Sungjin Fur Co. Ltd., Seoul, Korea, and was produced by Masog – L. Slack & Sons, of Lebanon, Oregon.

The top lot of American Legend White males was purchased by Long Radiance Ltd. for China Green Noble Madam, China, and was produced by Gengel Mink Farm of Lake Villa, Illinois.

The top lot of American Legend White females was purchased by Guangzhou Bohua Trading Co. for China QSZ Fur, China, and was produced by Gengel Mink Farm of Lake Villa, Illinois.
