Saga Furs Auction Reports – September 2016

 

 

September 23: Saga Furs September auction concluded successfully

 

Saga Furs September auction, the final auction of season 2015-16, concluded on September 23 with the selling of Blue fox lowgrades and breeders. The offering was 100 % sold under good competition at strong prices in relation to regular goods. Buying was dominated by China.

100 % clearance of all skin types at very firm to increasing prices is a very good signal. The fact that all markets were active and buying was well spread is a further indication of a positive development in the fur market.

Blue Shadow fox sold at 10 % increasing prices compared with our June auction. Main buying China, balance well spread between Europe, Korea and Russia. Blue Frost fox sold at slightly increasing prices mainly to Europe, Russia and Turkey.

Finnraccoon was also had good demand 100 % sold at firm prices. Buying was dominated by the European fashion industry, with support from Korea, Turkey and Russia.

September 21, 22: Blue fox sold 100 % under good competition

 

Saga fur auction continued with their Blue fox skins and clearance was 100 % in a full room of buyers under widespread competition. Prices increased by 10% from Saga’s June auction. Silver fox was also 100 % sold at 10 % increasing prices.

Buying was well spread throughout the day between China, Turkey, Russia, Korea, Japan and Europe.

The Top lot of Blue Fox was bought by Shin Kosmisch Industries Ltd. for Royal Gift.

September 20, 2016: Strong competition for mink continued

 

Saga Furs mink auction continued today with an end of season collection of lowgrades, breeders and summerskins, mainly females.

Today’s sale followed the same trend as yesterday and the offering was 100 % sold at strong prices compared with recent international levels. China was again the dominant market, with support from Europe.

The auction will continue tomorrow with the selling of Blue Fox, Silver Fox and various other fox types.

 


 

 

September 18, 19: Strong start for Saga Furs mink auction

 

Saga Furs September auction started on September 18 with 100 % selling of East-European mink and Karakul. The auction continued today with a strong sale of male mink under lively competition in a crowded auction room. The auction is attended by more than 450 buyers representing all markets.

Today’s offering was 100 % sold. Lowgrades sold at recent strong European levels.

Breeders also sold under very strong competition with good price.

China dominated today’s buying with support from the Greek market.
